Soviet maps? Scale 1:100,000. This artefact was located near wreckage associated with a suspected failed attempt by Soviet Cosmonauts to land on the Moon. It literally charts mineral deposits under the Moons surface and demonstrates a capability developed well ahead of any US or allied nations. Fortunately for us, they never were able to successfully land a vessel. It is believed the Soviets sought resources to sustain the expansion of a communist utopian dream once they had secured territorial rights to the Moon.
