Soviet maps? Scale 1:100,000. This artefact is a hydrological survey map that may show underground rivers on the Moon. Like the geological survey map in the prior image, they were located near wreckage associated with a suspected failed attempt by Soviet Cosmonauts to land on the Moon. We believe that early computing systems in the Soviet Union relied on silica glass as a substrate to for data and memory. In the west we were years ahead by this time and using floppy disks and magnetic tape.
